About Chiang Mai

Chang Mai is the largest city of northern Thailand. It is also a very touristic place and attracts in particular young people from all over the world. No wonder why Chang Mai is mostly famous for its amazing nightlife and its “jungle” trekkings (with elephant rides and hill-tribes visits).

A very touristy place and a good base for starting your treks in the Northern part of the country. Also, Chiang Mai is home to the greatest and cheapest Thai massages in Thailand!

I fell in love with Chiang Mai. Being not too big and not too small, it has a nice vibe. There is plenty to see and do, AND it's very, very cheap! Be sure to visit the nightmarket and wander the streets. Saturday and sunday walking streets are recommended as well, so go there during the week-end! Chiang Mai is surrounded by beautiful nature so you can rent a scooter and explore the surroundings! Don't forget to have a nice, cold chang beer in one of the nice bars!
Cette ville fortifiée est composée de deux parties : la ville intra muros et celle extra muros. Je n'ai jamais vu autant de temples au mètre carré !!! En plus, ils m'ont semblés plus jolis que dans le reste du pays.

Chiang Mai offers plenty of activities and sights to explore. Definitly check out the sunday night market.
