About Ankara

Ankara is the capital of Turkey. It is located in the central area of the country, and represents a major economic city. Ankara is a city of history, and consequently possesses a great deal of touristic attractions: museums (among which Anıtkabir, Ataturk’s mausoleum), archeological sites (Ankara Citadel, Roman Theatre,…), mosques, but also modern monuments and wonderful parks… and let’s not forget that Ankara is also famous for its local varieties of wine (Kalecik Karası and Kavaklıdere among others).
