What's new on Backpackmojo in February (1/3) - Kevin Creusy on 03/02/2012

As some of you might have noticed we just released a new version of Backpackmojo, and since we now have a blog, we can tell you more about it!

So, what’s new on the Travel Tribe? For this post I’ll start by introducing the new Print-On-Demand functionality!

We have been focusing on the Print-On-Demand service because many of you were longing for their hard copy. We are happy to tell you that it is now available to all travel writers on Backpackmojo! Get ready to receive your first personal travel guide (that actually looks like a real book) EVER at home.

You’ll see that it is pretty easy to receive, no paper work, no need to call us (except if you want to of course), once your guide is complete it’ll take you no more than 2 minutes. As of now you have a “Ask Printed Copy” button on your profile, once you click on it and complete the form you’ll have
Backpackmojo’s staff review your travel guide and see if it is available for print. We review all guides manually to make sure the final version you receive at home is as perfect as possible!

Just a little reminder of what makes a guide eligible:

- Information and pictures on every stop of your travel guide.

- When downloaded as PDF, your guide must be more than 50 pages long (around 9-10 very light stops)

SPOILER: We currently can’t print a guide that is less than 48 pages long (really, we tried but pages fall apart everywhere when you open it :s), we are working on new unique content that would fit perfectly in your travel guides though. This content will make it a lot easier to break the 50 pages limit, but don’t tell anyone, it is a secret!

If you want to see what your travel guide will look like once in your hands just download it by clicking on the “Download” button at the top of every guide pages.

We hope to print as many of your guides as possible!

Good travel Writing.
