You always wondered what were the weirdest natural features of earth? Here is our little top 5 of the places that you wouldn't be surprised to find on another planet.

1) Cave of the Crystals Naica
This incredible place has been kept away from the world for long enough to lose all sense of reality. This wonder of nature is in Naica, Mexico, it is so hot that you can’t go in there for more than 20 minutes. The quartz crystals are so big that you would look like an ant compared to it! Definitely a sight from another world!
2) Lighthouse Reef Blue Hole
Thanks to a famous diving video those blue holes became quite famous, but truth be told, these are still amongst the most impressive sights on earth. Obviously it is more impressive from an airplane. I wouldn’t go in there for a swim though...
3) Grand Prismatic Spring
You wouldn’t be surprised to see this geological feature on a distant planet, and yet this is not so far from home! The “Grand Prismatic Spring” is located in Yellowstone National Park in the USA. A true wonder of nature. You want to know where all the bright colors come from? Well, what you really see are huge colonies of bacterias!
4) Wulingyuan National Parc
Nope, we didn’t take this pic from the Avatar movie, as some of you might already know this is Wulingyuan National parc in China. Those pillars covered with plants can reach 800 meters. Don’t worry though; you won’t meet any giant blue people out there ;)
5) Richat Structure
The Richat Structure is only visible from low orbit so you have no chance of seeing it even if you are standing on it. Nicknamed the eye of the Sahara it is 40km in diameter. It is still unknown if it comes from an asteroid impact or an eroded dome! Still another pretty impressive sight from another world!
