About Phnom Penh

The first thing that will happen in the Cambodian capital when you get off the bus is you being hassled by dozen of people, maily Tuk-tuk drivers (you will of course already have experienced similar situations in Asia, but Cambodia is a new level!) Phnom Penh is a place where you spend a couple of days and then move on! There are of course many memorials and museums relating the genocide story.

User's opinion
Really impressive buildings! Remember that you have to dress decently in order to get in, meaning that you should not have bare legs (don't worry it's worth the trouble!). Try to spot the family of monkeys who are living in the shadow of the roof of one of the building.
S21 Prison 8 /10

User's opinion
In 1975 this school was used as a prison in which 14000 people were tortured and murderer. Visiting this museum is a good way to realize how much the Cambodian people suffered under the rule of the Khmer rouge. Some rooms are filled with shocking pictures of the tortures that were inflicted on the prisoners... hardcore
