About Chengdu

Another huge city with its 15 million people, Chengdu is famous for its lack of sun all year long.

You will have to stop there if you want to go to Emei Shan (either by bus or by train) and I suggest you don’t stay too long... one day one night should do it! The city is not really charming nor remarkable in any kind of way, however it has one of the best guesthouse you can hope for!

Surrounded by shopping malls, this square is overlooked by the statue of Mao. You also have a few fountains... Ok, so I guess you can take the picture of Mao and be on your way.
