About Chau Doc

It is easier and faster to reach Phnom Penh by bus (5 to 6 hours) from Ho Chi Minh City, but it would mean missing the Mekong Delta… and that would be a shame! By spending a few days in Chau Doc, you will witness how the Vietnamese people use the river in every aspect of their life. It will also give you the opportunity to cross the border by boat, which is quiet an experience (you can chill on the roof of the boat while watching the kids wawing at you from the shore and jumping in the water…).

It's a lot of fun! you will see the floating houses and they will show you the "fish farms": when you throw some food in the water, the fishes make a BIG mess! The boat ride from Chau Doc up to Phnom Penh is a lot of fun!
