The bamboo train is an improvised bamboo raft on the rail tracks. They're plentiful, cheap and easily dismountable. If two bamboo trains coming from opposite directions happen to cross, the heaviest stays on track and the other one is disassembled to leave the way. You can put your bike on it (and you'll be heavier ;)
