About Kars

Kars has no charm at all, and will remind you soviet times. Not particularly welcoming, the hundreds of tanks parked in the direction of Armenia. But Kars is the only way if you didn't rent a car to go and see Ani, at 45km East, at the border. Watchtowers also remind you that Armenian and Turk are not yet best friends, but you will be surprised by the melancholia of Ani, former capital of the Great Armenia.
