About Erzurum

After Istanbul, more than 20h of landscape, change of decor. Erzurum is obviously austere and poorer compared to Istanbul, but is maybe the real Turkey. The city has a reputation of a conservative, sad, poor and dirty city, but it's not ... that true and it'is a very good base camp to explore the region. For those who want to hide Iran it is almost a compulsory stop, as you can obtain a visa there and as it is the last place where you can find proper banks and ATM before Iran where no credit card works.
