About Komodo

Komodo & Rinca, are famous for their dragons. But the islands in themselves are a real beauty. Those are the two most magnificent places I have seen in Indonesia. I regret not being able to spend more time there. There is a bar at the end of the trek (Wow ! What a wildlife experience...) where you'll be able to enjoy a beer surrounded by komodo dragons. The island really is magnificent, it is a must do in Indo.

Tips & Tricks

  • Follow your guide, and be nice with dragons.
  • Don't expect crazy dragons. Reptile sleep 90% of the day.

Komodo Dragons are not what you can expect, they are most likely sleeping, and don't care being surrounded by humans. Sincerly we think some of them were drugged in the wild, to be sure foreigners can have their share of the last dinausors.

Rangers will take you through the island. You'll see many animal skulls, perhaps mighty (and very lethal) snakes and amazing sceneries that'll make amazing pictures. (if you didn't break your camera of course....)
