There is not much to see in Cairns, it is more of a stop for Scuba Diving excursion or backpacking trips than a city you will want to explore for a couple of days.

Tips & Tricks

  • Choose a central Hostel, there is a lot of bars in Cairns
  • If you want to dive on the Great Barrier Reef it is the place to do it

Since most of the year you should not go in the sea because of the jellyfishes, they have created a huge free pool, that allows people to enjoy a good swim near the sea.
