The most impressive decoration I've seen inside a temple since I'm arrived. Not allowed to take pictures inside but it is definitely one not to be missed !

Built in 1164, but the current temple dates from 1266. Being over 100 meters long, it is the longest wooden building in Japan. Sanjusangen means 33, which stands for the amount of spaces between the columns that were used. Inside you find 1001 golden statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy.
