About Riga

Riga, the coastal capital and largest city (around 706 500 inhabitants) in Latvia, is an attractive and alive town. It represents one of the major financial, industrial and cultural centers of the Baltic region. It is also renowned as a UNESCO protected site, particularly for its architecture (inspired from the German “Art Nouveau”). And finally, Riga is well located for tourists since it is at the very crossroads between famous sights such as Jurmala beaches, the palace of Rastrelli (in Rundale) and the castles of Sigulda.
