About Sarajevo

Sarajevo is the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina (310 605 inhabitants). The city is well-known for its traditional religious diversity (Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Judaism). That is why it has been called the « Jerusalem of Europe ». Nowadays, the city has been undergoing post war reconstruction and is now considered as the major center of culture in Bosnia. Some touristic guides even said that Sarajevo was one of the ten cities that had to be visited in 2010.

Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, called Jerusalem of Europe, is a little city (300 000 people), damaged by the recent war of independance and the siege (beginning of 90's), but which really deserves a stay. Charming pedestrian zone in the city center, with Mosque and Bazar, incredible nature you can find by walking or by bus, within one hour, nice food, nice music, nice people.... What else?
