Adana is a modern city, the largest in its area. It is a welcoming place, combining old and new. Getting from one side to another is easily done by bus or tram and the activities the city offers are plentiful. You can do sports, shop or visit historical monuments, mosques, beautiful parks and terraces during the day time, but you can also enjoy the more discrete night life in pubs after dark. It is more likely to meet English speaking people here than in any of the surrounding areas, as the tourism industry is in bloom. The city is divided in neighbourhoods, each with it's own specific. It surprises you at every turn, either with neat boulevards with palms and orange trees, tall modern buildings and wonderful parks, or with bazaar like squares, historical houses and small suburbia streets. No matter what the reason for your passing through Adana is, you should take some time to enjoy the city, the people, and eat an Adana Kebap.
